We survivors are tough lot. To me nothing represents a comeback like a Phoenix does rising from the ashes - from the old life you once knew, to face this “new normal” and keep going. I began creating Heartstrong Phoenixes after my 4th heart attack in 2016 while also going thru divorce and major life changes. Life as I knew it was transforming in massive ways and I was rebuilding everything from the inside out. Finding that inner strength and rising once again to meet life’s challenges is what these phoenix paintings are all about.
